In 2005, the Town of Rochester elected its first practicing attorney as Town Justice. Paul Shaheen follows in filling our Town’s need for justices with a legal education and a strong working knowledge of law and has brought his skills to our Town Justice Court since he was appointed in August.
In addition to being one of two town justices, Paul is an attorney in private practice in Kerhonkson. He is also a co-founder of a LighTouch Medical, a company that invented a non-invasive product for blood testing. Paul came to Ulster County more than 20 years ago after graduating from Vermont Law School to become general counsel of Besicorp Group Inc., a developer of power projects.
